Safety Safari is a playful, educational book series that teaches children ages 5–8 about emergency preparedness through stories they’ll love. Each adventure follows a friendly animal as they get ready for wildfires, floods, storms, and more – showing kids what to do, step-by-step, in a fun and gentle way.
Our mission: Help families feel confident and calm when it matters most.
Prepares for wildfires with courage and care!
Knows just what to do when floods roll in.
Always ready to swing into action when the lights go out!
I’m Do, the lion-hearted creator behind Safety Safari. I’ve spent the last few years swinging through the jungle of the nonprofit world in Canada, from preparing communities for emergencies to helping them rebuild after the storm.
I've worn many hats—sometimes a hard hat during response efforts, sometimes a sunhat while teaching preparedness at community events. Whether it was floods, fires, or just helping families find their footing again, I’ve always believed in one thing: being prepared shouldn’t be scary—it should be empowering (and maybe even a little fun).
Now, I’ve traded my emergency vest for a safari hat and teamed up with some wild animal friends—Leo, Ellie, and Max—to help families explore the world of emergency readiness one story at a time. Think of me as your friendly jungle guide, leading kids and parents through adventures that make safety second nature.
Let’s get prepped—and have a roaring good time doing it!
